Banyo Pasifika 2026 is still happening.

Under an alternative wet weather program, the event has been moved to within the school's sports hall.

Because of persistent and further predicted rain, the event's jumping castle has been cancelled.

Vehicle access to the rear of the sports hall, past the school oval has also been closed.

Access to the hall is by the pathway entrance off the Earnshaw road.

The Banyo District Community Group Inc. (BDCG), in conjunction with Earnshaw State College, is hosting a Community Multicultural Event on Saturday 24 October 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Pasifika is a collective term meaning “Pacific”, referring to the peoples and cultures of the Pacific Islands,  including Polynesia, Micronesia, and Melanesia,  as well as diaspora communities in New Zealand and Australia. We are excited to extend our free, inclusive multicultural events to embrace Pacific Island food, music, and culture.

BDCG is an incorporated not‑for‑profit community organisation with a proven record of delivering free, inclusive community events across Brisbane’s Northside since 2013. We are excited to extend our multicultural program to celebrate Pacific Island food, music, and culture through our inaugural Banyo Pasifika Festival, a vibrant opportunity with our Pasifika communities and friends to showcase and engage.

This event will also bring together local government services, schools, and community groups in a positive, welcoming atmosphere.

The festival will be held at Earnshaw State College, which proudly has a significant Pasifika enrolment. The afternoon will feature stalls and performances from local community and migrant groups.
